Matt Holdsworth, CPA

Matt is a native Arizonan who moved from Flagstaff to Prescott in 2002. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University in accountancy and minored in computer information systems. Matt started with Honeywell in Phoenix, Arizona as a financial analyst, then worked in Flagstaff as controller for a residential and commercial contractor, and has spent the past ten years as owner of what is now Holdsworth & Company working with clients on tax planning and preparation, contract CFO, Quickbooks consulting and business advisory.

Matt is a member of the AICPA and Arizona Society of CPAs where he served a two year term as a director of the Society. Before he was a director of the Society he was the President of the north-central chapter.

Matt serves with various community organizations, including:

• Treasurer - Prescott Little League. My favorite volunteer job because baseball is the greatest ball sport ever.
• Chairman Elect - Prescott Chamber of Commerce.
• Former Treasurer and Board Member - Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters

Married, with four children ages 2 to 10 years old (two boys, two girls), Matt enjoys CrossFitting with his whole family but still struggles to best his wife in the WOD (workout of the day). He can frequently be found mountain biking the trails around Prescott or traveling to Phoenix to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Joy Ramsey, CPA

A native of Arizona, Joy earned her B.S.- Accountancy degree from Northern Arizona University. She has more than 20 years of experience in public and industrial (manufacturing) accounting and owned her own firm for seven years in Northern Arizona. Residing in the Prescott area for seven years, Joy joined Holdsworth & Co. in 2006, and has found “the firm has always had a very staff friendly, technology advanced place to work, lead by a very innovative owner.” Joy lends her complete attention to her clients’ needs and provides a high level of expertise in reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, review write-up, sales tax, and payroll reports. As focused as she is at work, Joy also focuses well on the golf course where she is an avid golfer. In the future, Joy hopes to spend more time working on her golf game and traveling.

Jeff Chadd, CPA

Jeff served with the United States Air Force for nine years, after which, he attended Boise State University and earned a B.B.A. in Accountancy. He began his career with a small public accounting firm in Boise, ID where he helped develop and implement quality control, audit plans, and tax procedures. In 2010, Jeff and his family moved to Arizona, continuing his career as a CPA with Holdsworth & Company. Specializing in tax preparation and quality control,  Jeff is licensed to practice in both Idaho and Arizona.  Holdsworth & Co.'s advanced technology allows Jeff to continue to service his Idaho clientele.  He is a member of the AICPA, Idaho Society of CPAs, and Arizona Society of CPAs. Married, with two boys, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family outdoors playing catch, camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, traveling, and watching BSU football.

Monica Fuller

Monica has a reputation as a “technology aficionado.” This has enabled her to enjoy working from her home office, taking care of all of her client needs, even from a distance. “I am quick to respond to client requests and many are grateful for the responsiveness. Our remote set up offers convenience for clients as we can log in at any time and help them with questions they may have or issues they are facing." Whether it be accounting or QuickBooks, we are able to give them a solution to their problem.” After several years as an accountant and a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, Monica earned her Bachelors of Accountancy degree with honors at the University of Phoenix. When Monica isn’t at her laptop, she’s out riding ATVs or hiking the peaks of Flagstaff.

Joy Garso

As an Accounting and Bookkeeping Manager and new client liaison, Joy loves working with clients on new and challenging projects. With over 25 years of experience of small business accounting in various industries, she has many long-term clients who love the fact that she focuses on being thorough and responsive to their needs. You may have met Joy at one of several SCORE QuickBooks workshops, which she has written and presented locally. Her motto is “have fun and don’t take yourself too seriously” and she lives up to that by spending her time away from work painting, sculpting, mountain biking, playing with her dogs and enjoying time with her husband (who is not a dog!)

Tina Blackwell

After several years as an accounting manager, Tina was drawn to Holdsworth & Co. by the friendly, professional staff. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and enjoys the variety in bookkeeping, processing payroll, and generating financial statements for various small business clients. No doubt, her keen attention to detail has been well developed through her love of games like crosswords, Sudoko, or any other word games. When working with her, you may want to challenge her with some trivia, as she is an entertainment and music related trivia buff!

Linda Carlson

Linda joined our staff in November 2009 as our office manager and bookkeeper for the firm. She earned her Associates Degree in Accounting from Yavapai College. She previously worked for a local title company for 30 years in various capacities from administration, bookkeeping, and benefits administrator.

Laurie Beaman

Laurie electronically files our clients’ prepared tax return documents and insures the correct documentation is prepared for government submission and for our clients.She also enjoys putting her B.B.A. – Marketing degree and experience to work by assisting with website design and maintenance, social media marketing, etc. When not working, she spends her time cheering on her girls at their soccer games, biking, playing tennis and traveling with her family.
